Making Taffy for Saint Catherine’s Day
At École Saint-Joseph (Wawa), the tradition of making taffy for Ste-Catherine’s day continues. This year, with the help of their teacher Ms. Carole Bouffard, students made taffy as part of the Aboriginal Studies curriculum. Students made one batch with a molasses bases and another batch with a birch syrup base. The taffy was then enjoyed by all the students in the school.
