Wynne Liberals making power unreliable for Ontarians
Today, power outages across the province are leaving thousands of Ontarians in the dark. Hydro One alone has reported outages affecting more than 30,400 customers.
Ontario has had more power outages than any other province in the past three years. When the Wynne Liberals sold off Hydro One in a fire sale they promised better service for customers, but unfortunately Ontarians have only seen their electricity services get more and more unreliable.
In 2014, prior to the fire sale of Hydro One, Ontario reported 86 power outages. In 2016, Ontario reported 162 power outages, an increase of 88.4%. By comparison, the two next most populated provinces, British Columbia and Quebec had a combined 103 power outages in 2016.
Ontarians who pay Kathleen Wynne’s hand-picked Hydro One CEO a whopping $4.5 million a year salary should expect better.
